Terms of Use

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use DAWN. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Parents or guardians may not create accounts on behalf of minors.

2. Account Responsibility

Your account is personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for all activity under your account. DAWN authenticates via Firebase OTP linked to your phone number — keep your device and number secure.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Trigger false SOS alerts or make fraudulent service requests
• Harass, threaten, or harm any knight or DAWN staff member
• Use DAWN for any unlawful purpose under Indian law
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with DAWN's systems
• Share your account credentials with any other person
• Use DAWN to track another person without their explicit consent

4. Service Availability

DAWN operates within designated Delhi NCR pincodes. Service availability depends on knight availability in your area. We make no guarantee of immediate dispatch during peak demand. In a life-threatening emergency, always call 112 first.

5. Fares & Billing

• Service fares are communicated upfront before you confirm a request
• Disputed charges must be reported within 7 days via support@dawn.in
• DAWN reserves the right to adjust fare rates with 7 days' notice

6. Cancellation

You may cancel a pending request at any time before a knight is dispatched at no charge. Cancellations after dispatch may incur a nominal fee to compensate the knight for travel time.

7. Knight Conduct

DAWN knights are independent trained escorts, not employees of DAWN in the traditional sense. DAWN conducts Aadhaar verification and rating monitoring, but cannot guarantee the conduct of any individual. If you experience misconduct, report it immediately via the app or at safety@dawn.in. We investigate all complaints.

8. Limitation of Liability

DAWN is a safety assistance platform, not a substitute for emergency services. In a life-threatening situation, always contact emergency services (112, 100, 108) directly. DAWN's liability for any service-related incident is limited to the fare paid for that specific request. We do not accept liability for indirect or consequential losses.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the use of DAWN shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of DAWN after a change constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be notified via push notification.
